Can I watch movies on Movieo?
No — Movieo doesn’t stream anything. It’s a site for discovering great films and deciding what to watch next. Each movie page shows where the film is currently available, and you watch it there.
How do recommendations work?
Two layers. The free core is built around browsing you control: fill your seenlist and blacklist, and the catalog stops showing you things you’ve already seen or never want to see — you become surrounded by candidates, then use filters to close in. On top of that, Premium adds AI recommendations that reason from your own record: you ask in plain words, Movieo retrieves candidates from its catalog, and ranks them against your history with a stated reason per pick. Do you have iOS/Android apps?
No native apps — Movieo is web-only, and the mobile browser experience is a first-class citizen, not a fallback. Open movieo.me on your phone and everything works, including the lists and recommendations.
Will you integrate with more streaming services?
Streaming availability comes from JustWatch and covers the major services per country. Integrating directly with individual services and keeping their catalogs fresh is genuinely hard, so we grow coverage carefully rather than promising everything.
Can I import and export my data?
Yes. Import lists from IMDb or iCheckMovies, or any custom CSV; export everything you have whenever you want. There’s a step-by-step guide, including how to undo a wrong import.
What are the little triangles next to lists and comments?
Upvote and downvote buttons. Voting sorts community content by quality — upvote what helps, downvote what doesn’t belong.
What is karma?
Karma reflects the value you’ve contributed: each upvote on your lists, discussions or comments earns a point.
Are my lists public?
Every list you create is private by default. It only appears in the public lists stream if you publish it — though you can share a private list by link at any time.
What are the big arrows on a movie page?
They browse the current movie set. Open the first film of a list, then use the arrows — or the left/right keys — to move through it. Escape closes the movie page.
What does Premium cost?
Movieo Studio is €4.99/month — 25 recommendation batches and 50 Movieo Picks a month. Movieo Max is €9.99/month — 50 batches, 100 Picks, and every taste tool. What each includes — and what stays free — is on the Premium page.
