Where the data comes from

Movieo aggregates movie data from established sources and adds your personal record on top. Here’s exactly who provides what — and where the honest limits are.

Movie metadata — TMDB

Titles, posters, backdrops, cast and crew, synopses, genres and release data come from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Streaming availability — JustWatch

Where a movie can be streamed, rented or bought, per country, comes from JustWatch. Coverage is broad but not guaranteed complete or real-time for every title in every country — catalogs shift daily, so treat availability as a strong signal and the streaming service’s own page as the final word. Movieo is not affiliated with JustWatch or any streaming service.

Ratings — IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic

Score data shown on movie pages references public ratings from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic. The trademarks belong to their owners; showing a score does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

Your data — yours

The layer that makes Movieo personal — your seenlist, watchlist, blacklist, ratings and reactions — is created by you and stays under your control: importable, exportable and deletable at any time. AI recommendations reason only over Movieo’s own catalog combined with your record; details in how recommendations work.

What Movieo never does

  • Stream, host or sell access to films — it shows where a film is available and stops there.
  • Alter provider data to favor a service.
  • Claim completeness it can’t back — when data is missing, the page says so.
