Movieo

Your history is portable — bring it along

Years of ratings on another site shouldn’t be the reason you never switch trackers. Movieo takes the whole record in one pass — and hands it back whenever you ask.

The situation

Suppose you’ve rated films on IMDb for a decade, or kept an iCheckMovies profile, or maintained a stubborn spreadsheet since film school. Starting a new tracker from zero means abandoning all of it, which is why most people never move. You don’t have to choose: the history comes with you, and the door stays open both ways.

  1. Export from where you are. Grab your ratings and lists from IMDb, your iCheckMovies data, or any CSV you’ve built yourself — Movieo accepts all three.
  2. Run the import. Pick the source, upload the file, and your history files itself into your Movieo lists.
  3. Check the result. Browse your freshly filled seenlist. Imported films behave exactly like hand-marked ones — they vanish from future browsing and count toward everything your record powers later.
  4. If something went wrong, restore. A mis-mapped CSV or a wrong file isn’t fatal: Movieo can roll back your last import and let you try again.
  5. Know you can leave the same way. Full data export is free and always available. The move is reversible, which is exactly what makes it safe to make.
Good to know

Restore covers only your most recent import — check each import before running the next one. Importing and exporting are free forever, on every plan and on no plan at all.

Step by step, including the restore safety net.
