Movieo

Bring your history. Take it with you.

Years of ratings on IMDb or iCheckMovies don’t have to stay there — and nothing you build here is locked in, either.

In, out, and undo

  • Import — bring your history from IMDb, iCheckMovies, or a custom CSV. Free on every account.
  • Restore — an import gone wrong can be undone: restore rolls back the last import you ran.
  • Export — a full export of your data, any time, for any reason. No gate, no fee, no questions.

Why it’s worth an evening: on Movieo the record earns everything. An imported seenlist means films you’ve watched vanish from browsing on day one — and AI asks, which need at least 100 seen movies before they unlock, usually clear that floor in a single import instead of months of clicking.

  1. Get your data out of the old service. Download your ratings and lists from wherever they live — or shape any spreadsheet into a CSV.
  2. Import into Movieo. Choose the source — IMDb, iCheckMovies, or custom CSV — and upload the file.
  3. Check the result before anything else. Skim your seenlist and watchlist to confirm the import landed the way you expected.
  4. Restore if it went sideways. One restore is available, and it covers the most recent import only.
Before you import twice

Restore reaches back exactly one step: only the last import can be undone. Check each import’s result before running the next one — a second import moves the first out of restore’s reach.

The principle underneath

Portability isn’t a feature bolted on; it’s the deal. Your lists stay free and exportable whether you ever pay or not, and if you cancel Premium the record you built leaves with you intact. Movieo wants to be worth staying for, not hard to leave.

Imported titles start filtering the catalog immediately.
