Curate lists worth sending to a friend
A recommendation shouted across a dinner table is forgotten by dessert. A list with a link survives the evening.
The situation
Someone asks what they should watch and you rattle off four titles they’ll never remember. Or you’ve been keeping a themed collection in a notes app — no posters, no ratings, no way for anyone to browse it. A Movieo list is that same idea with the whole catalog behind it: every entry carries its scores, runtime and availability, and the link does the remembering.
- Create a list around an idea. The sharper the theme, the better the list — say, “Heist films where the plan actually works” beats “Good movies”.
- Fill it from anywhere. Add films as you browse the catalog or from any movie page. Order it the way you’d hand it to someone.
- Keep it private for as long as you like. Lists are private by default — a half-built list is nobody’s business but yours.
- Share it by link. Send the link to one person and they can browse it like any Movieo grid — posters, ratings, where each film is available. No account digging, no screenshots of a notes app.
- Or publish it to everyone. Published lists join the public lists section, where people vote on them, discuss them in comments, and good curation earns you karma.
Good to know
Creating, sharing and publishing lists is free, and publishing is always a choice — nothing you build goes public until you say so. Votes, comments and karma are free too.
A free account is enough to build and publish your own.
