What the sidebar can do
The catalog holds over 250,000 movies, and the filter sidebar exists to cut that number down fast. Filters stack, so each one narrows whatever the others left standing:
- Genre — match any of the genres you pick, or insist a movie carries all of them at once.
- Year — a slider running from 1880 to now; pin it to a decade or a single stretch of years.
- Runtime — cap the evening at ninety minutes, or clear room for a three-hour epic.
- Score minimums — set separate floors for IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores.
- Country and streaming availability — keep only what you can actually watch where you live.

Availability comes from JustWatch, per country. It’s a strong signal — good enough to plan an evening around — but not a promise that a service’s catalog hasn’t shifted this morning.
