The whole thing runs about an hour too long: It should have been a TV show. The adventure's too big for the kids who would love it the most.

Overview
It's Schluufy's birthday, and the Oogieloves, along with their friends J. Edgar, Windy Window and Ruffy, are organizing a party. (Shh! It's a secret.) Everything is going along just perfectly until J. Edgar trips and loses the last five magical balloons in all of Lovelyloveville--OH NO! The Oogiloves set out to find the magical balloons in time to save their friend's party. Along the way, they meet some very interesting characters indeed, including Dotty Rounder, Bobby Wobbly, Milky Marvin, Rosalie Rosebud and Lola and Lero Sombero. Can these new friends help them recover the magical balloons and get back to the cottage in time to celebrate Schluufy's surprise birthday?

Critics on Rotten Tomatoes
Top critics, in their words
If only there were something on screen to keep your adult brain from dissolving into strained peas.
A prime contender for most peculiar wide release of the year.
There are no villains in this movie but there's lots of suspense and problem solving involved in retrieving the balloons.
It's like paying to watch a dumbed-down mash-up of the least creative parts of "Teletubbies," "Barney & Friends," and "Pee-wee's Playhouse."
