Porn Theatre is exactly that, no surprises.
Michael Booth, Denver Post
Overview
A tale set in a decaying Parisian porn theatre, where within its dark confines, male patrons -- soldiers, transvestites, married men -- regularly engage in anonymous sex acts. In the ticket booth of the theatre, a wise Italian woman serves as benevolent gatekeeper, observing -- but never judging -- the proceedings occurring under her watchful eyes. One day, one of her regulars engages her in a conversation that leads to an unusual friendship, as these two worldly souls share their common experiences.

Repugnant in its salacious superficiality, Porn Theatre manages to be boring and vile beneath its transparent veil of artistic pretense.

Even those titillated by the graphic sex will have to admit that the movie is repetitive and ultimately boring.

Porn Theatre, as the title suggests, is not for the sexually conservative. Not even for the sexually moderate liberal. It is, however, for the right crowd in the right mood, a very fine film.

Porn Theater is revealing only physically, not emotionally or intellectually.
