What we've got here is somewhere between Twister and one of those storm-chaser reality shows, except Jan de Bont made Twister.

Overview
As a new day begins in the town of Silverton, its residents have little reason to believe it will be anything other than ordinary. Mother Nature, however has other plans. In the span of just a few hours, an unprecedented onslaught of powerful tornadoes ravages Silverton. Storm trackers predict that the worst is still to come, as terrified residents seek shelter, and professional storm-chasers run toward the danger, hoping to study the phenomenon close up and get a once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Top critics, in their words
Rotten
When the badass cyclones muscle into town, ripping up schools, banks and airports, the film is fairly fun. Sadly, everything else about it is, well, a bit of a disaster.
Tom Huddleston, Time Out
Fresh
The destruction and carnage is presented with verve and flair, making this a fine example of tornado porn.
James Berardinelli, ReelViews
Fresh
A visually stunning disaster-thriller that ultimately feels cheap with its perverse take on death and gratitude.
Sean Fitz-Gerald, Denver Post
Rotten
If weak plotting isn't a big concern, then Into the Storm may be right up your tornado alley.
