Overview

Nothing stirs up the competitive spirit in haggard Hollywood has-been Evie Harris like having to share a house with a younger actress like Varla. Especially since Varla happens to be the daughter of Evie's now-deceased rival! But even as their saner roommate, Coco, attempts to keep the peace, Evie's jealousy over Varla's burgeoning infomercial career is about to explode... in the most spectacular, showstopping way possible!

An often hilarious, always surprising 79-minute burlesque.

While Day doesn't succeed in making us empathize with anyone on screen, he makes his characters definitely watchable and his dialogue crackles.

Robert K. Elder, Chicago Tribune
Fresh

An unprecedented exercise in derangement.

Wesley Morris, Boston Globe
Rotten

Humor that takes as its apparent premise the assumption that all women are catty, sexually voracious, weight-obsessed whores ... is more than anyone in this day and age, even in the context of a cartoonish farce, should be expected to take.

Michael O'Sullivan, Washington Post
Rotten

Girls Will Be Girls is gross-out camp, much like the movies of John Waters.

Charles Ealy, Dallas Morning News
