Critics on Rotten Tomatoes
Top critics, in their words
Koepp relies almost entirely on the isolated shocking images, ignoring the human element at the center in favor of digitalized special effects and rapid-fire editing.
Stir of Echoes might have worked just fine a few decades ago, but it now seems too simply schematic to spook us as much as it wants to.
The kind of film that may give you pause the next time you walk into a dark room by yourself.
Koepp keeps Stir of Echoes stirring for a good hour or so but is unable to sustain the mood throughout.
