Overview
The heroine loves her father's steward. The appearance of her father, who matches her for a rich old man, makes her hide her lover under the featherbed, where he suffocates. In this unwitting, almost anecdotal murder - all the burden of habitual subordination. Having found the corpse, mother and daughter in fear call the janitor, who hides the body in a barrel and throws it into the river. But he begins to blackmail his master's daughter, forces her to cohabit and demands an inn where he drinks with his friends. Waiting for them to get drunk, the heroine wants to chop the janitor with an axe, but then sets fire to the inn.
