While the first film convinced me of Bronson's need for vengeance, this one is just a series of dumb killings.

Critics on Rotten Tomatoes
Top critics, in their words
Rotten
The results are every bit as revolting as in the original 1974 jackpot fantasy.
Variety Staff, Variety
Rotten
Even more foolish, more tacky and more selfrighteously inhumane than the 1974 melodrama off which it has been spun by the none-too-nimble fingers of Michael Winner.
Vincent Canby, New York Times
Rotten
Shamelessly rehashed.
Entertainment Weekly
Rotten
Overall, it's as unstylish as anything Winner has put his name to.
