Critics on Rotten Tomatoes
Top critics, in their words
Rotten
4 Minute Mile at least has the decency to acknowledge that it's aware of its underdog sports-movie cliches, especially the ones that made The Karate Kid such an '80s classic.

Even if the story itself has been around the track a couple of times, veterans like these know how to bring it safely home.

Rotten
More than one interior scene looks underlit for effect, but that's at least something else to think about as the film goes through its paces.
Nicolas Rapold, New York Times
Fresh
It's a moving, if occasionally heavy-handed, sports drama that deserves a wider audience than it is probably going to find in its limited release.
